Snow Queen Auditions
Center Dance Ensemble will hold auditions for young dancers ages 8 to 17
on Sunday, September 17th, for its annual holiday production of Snow Queen
The audition sessions will be held by age groups: (times subject to change)
1:00-2:00 pm--- 8 to 10 year olds
2:15-3:15 pm--- 11 and 12 year olds
3:30-4:30 pm--- 13 and 14 year olds
4:45-5:45--- 15 to17 year olds
All dancers must have at least two years of dance training.
There is a $15 audition registration fee.
Dancers should arrive at least 15 minutes early to register.
Auditions will be held at the new studios of Dance Theater West
3925 E. Indian School Road
on the southwest corner of 40th Street and Indian School
Rehearsals, under the direction of Frances Smith Cohen and Susan Silverman, will be scheduled on Sundays, beginning Sept. 24th.
Performances of Snow Queen
will be on three weekends, December 2nd through 17th, at the Herberger
Theater Center in downtown Phoenix. Roles are triple cast so young
dancers will perform for one weekend. The young dancers will join
Center Dance Ensemble's professional, adult dancers in a production
that has become a Valley holiday favorite for both dancers and
audiences. Last year 150 young dancers participated, performing
for sold-out audiences.
